Day 2 Into the Wild
Our day began with love- hearts in our coffee:-)
Today, Poly's Team South Africa spent the day exploring and discovering the beautiful lands and parks around Cape Town; we started the journey seeing the silhouette of Lion's Head, which prompted many "We climbed that yesterday?" In the process of trekking to Table Mountain National Park (and the legendary Cape of Good Hope), we enjoyed great times together on the bus, saw spectacular ocean scenes colliding with the land/cliffs, were mesmerized by turquoise blue bays, hiked up and up some more, and saw beautiful wildlife in their natural settings: horses... seals, antelopes, baboons, ostriches and the cutest little penguins. Several of us are ready to start Poly's Penguin Outdoor Living Yard (P.O.L.Y. of course). It is okay to dream:-) Today was a long day filled with good food, lots of marvelous beauty and we are tired... the rest of the blog will continue in the morning. Speaking of which, tomorrow we start addressing our purpose in being here in Cape Town; to partner with Leap High School students in an effort to support iThuba's mission to younger students. We are amped!
