R & R - June 16th, 2019

After the long days this week, we were able to take a break today. This was a day of relaxation and rejuvenation. After getting a later start, we walked to the Greenmarket Square to do some shopping. Luke remained undefeated as he arm wrestled student after student. We were able to work on our negotiation skills to buy gifts. Haggling with vendors is an art. For lunch we ate at a local food chain called Wimpy's. Later, we walked around Camp's Bay to enjoy spectacular ocean views. We walked on the fine white sand beach and put our toes in the freezing water. Together we climbed boulders and took in the amazing sights and sounds of ocean waves rolling and crashing. As the sun went down for a gorgeous sunset we ate a seafood dinner. The bus ride to the hotel was full of jokes and singing along to songs on the radio.
