Day Two Lion's Head to Langa (March 23)
We apologize for this late (and partial) post- last night was a long night. The students were invited yesterday (Tuesday) to make a presentation at Leap High School on Wednesday about a human rights event/leader in the US. This invitation is significant. While this opportunity marks our third visit to Leap HS, and the first there since 2024, this is the first time we have been invited to present. Thus last night was spent working and preparing in group's for today's (Wednesday's) presentation.
In terms of yesterday, the students hiked, trekked, and even scaled, spectacular Lion's Head mountain- an iconic feature in Cape Town's skyline. See attached photos.
After Lion's Head and Lunch, we completed the day's trifecta for Ls by visiting and walking through Langa... then added the "L" grand slam with dinner at La Nonni's.
(The students will blog tonight more about our time in Langa as well as today's presentation at Leap HS).
